The JADE Comfort Cart

The Comfort Cart is a mainstay of The JADE Foundation. Every week, the cart, staffed by wonderful, regular volunteers, cruises the Cleveland Clinic Bone Marrow Transplant and Leukemia floors, and the University Hospitals Angie Fowler Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Institute at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital Seidman Cancer Center. The cart provides patients with entertainment and comfort items such as games, puzzles, art supplies, fleecy blankets and socks, chap stick, hand cream and snacks. The patients are very appreciative, often sharing with our volunteers how they have used the gifts from the cart during the previous weeks. The gratitude is palpable and the staff has made it clear that this cart, this caring, is making a difference.
